Tomato on the Way!
by Amy
Well, tomorrow is the big day - our c-section for Tomato is scheduled for January 18 at 10:30am. We are very excited - we've prepared the house as much as we can, and we are overjoyed to think about meeting our next little man. Of course, I am a bit nervous, even though I've been through a c-section before. We can't wait to meet him, and to have Seth meet him, and to be a family of four.
We had a great holiday season - fun celebrating Thanksgiving, Chanukah, Christmas, and New Year's. Seth and Jason had tons of fun sledding and playing in all the snow we've had - making snowmen and snow angels, shoveling and throwing snowballs. We've been taking it easy the past few weeks, spending family time together, resting, and getting things done around the house.
Seth has been so good throughout my pregnancy. As I've gotten bigger and bigger, he's realized I can't do as much physically and taken it in stride. Of course, he still wants me to play with him as much as possible, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Jason has definitely become the one to do the more physical things with Seth, and he's been okay with that.
I love the way Seth likes to kiss my belly and talk about Tomato. I love how he snuggles with me when we are reading together and rests his hand or his head on my belly. I love it when we snuggle together on the couch how he rests his back against my belly and sometimes we laugh when Tomato "kicks him in the head."
We are eager to see Seth evolve into his role as a big brother - we heard today at daycare he was telling everyone about how he was going to be a big brother tomorrow and help feed his brother. I will miss feeling Tomato kick and roll and get the hiccups, but can't wait to have him in my arms!
We will post news of the birth, and we will continue to update the blog with details of our two little men!
