Penrose Empires Screenshots
Below are some screenshots of the software performing some of its routine operations.
Finding Intersection Points
The software searching for intersection points. As the points are found, they are sifted into virtual "boxes" (blue squares), which are then checked for patterns.
Finding Tiles
After the points are found and sifted, they are searched for known patterns that correspond to tiles. Here, some tiles have already been found.
Finished Tiling
Once all the patterns have been matched, the screen is redrawn, showing all the desired features of the tiling.
Larger Tiling
This screenshot shows another tiling in the process of being searched. This is the King vertex configuration. The software is capable of rendering tilings with 10,000 times the area of the tiling seen here (though the tiles become so small that it isn't worth looking at).
